Kelsey is excited to perform in Night of the Neutron Dance this week, a one-act play written by Sharifa Williams and directed by Jonathan Rion Bethea as part of Summerfest!

SYNOPSIS
Night of the Neutron Dance takes place in an alternate timeline, roughly 40 years into a war that began in 1985. Holed up in an abandoned roller skating rink before the dawn of another battle, a resistance leader leaves her post to plan an 80's dance party.

RUN TIME
30 minutes. We are part of a double bill in the New York Theatre Festival Summerfest, so a ticket will give you access to both shows. (Both shows together will run about 70 minutes).

also recently did a day of work on the Travel Channel series Mysteries at the Museum, playing a "friend of Al Capone" in the jazzy 1920s!

She continues to study at The Barrow Group, and has recently completed Shakespeare I and II, both with Seth Barrish.

Kelsey recently completed the run of a new play called Village, My Home at the Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City, written and directed My Marcina Zaccaria.  Kelsey played the "26 Year Old," a frustrated young professional.  Read a review from Theater Pizzazz here!

She continues to take ongoing scene study courses at The Barrow Group.

Several recent updates!  Firstly, Kelsey has some new video footage from the student film The Attack on her video page, in which she plays a young woman named Cindy, prone to panic attacks and under pressure from work.

Secondly, she recently did two days of work as a background extra on the film Yeh Din Ka Kissa, directed by Noah Baumbach.

Thirdly, she took a Scene Study III class at The Barrow Group this past winter, studying under a rotating roster of Barrow Group faculty.  It was a wonderful learning environment!

Lastly, Kelsey started her own "booktube" channel on YouTube this January, and had been uploading book-related content ever since.  Watch her talk about what she's reading while wearing an outrageous hat at The Fancy Hat Lady Reads!

The short film Necromaner, in which Kelsey plays the witch Autumn Day, screened at the International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival on November 12th.

Meanwhile, Kelsey is still in scene study classes at The Barrow Group.  Happy Holidays!

This past weekend, Kelsey performed in the short play Talkin' Trash, which was part of the Thespian Production Limelight: Go Green festival, which promotes environmental awareness.  Please recycle!

Kelsey was a "devotee" on Season 2, Episode 6 of The Hunt with John Walsh on CNN, which first aired on August 9th.  You can see her blowing out a candle, drawing on the floor, and washing the guru's feet (among other activities) in various scenes!

Rehearsals for The Real Merry Housewives of Windsor, Connecticut are well underway!  The show will run three weekends indoors at Saint Charles Borromeo Church at 19 Sidney Place in Brooklyn.  The dates for these performances are:

Kelsey is thrilled to announce that she will be playing the roles of Anne Page and Rugby in Theater 2020's upcoming production of The Real Merry Housewives of Windsor, Connecticut!  This 90-minute version of Shakespeare's text with a modern twist will open on May 22nd in Brooklyn.  More information to come soon!

Kelsey has been busy since this site was last updated!  She shot her scenes for the Necromancer presentation reel, in a picturesque location on the LIU Post campus, and is excited to see how it turns out.

Last month, Kelsey spent two days working on an episode of the upcoming second season of The Hunt With John Walsh, which airs on CNN, as a "devotee."

More recently, Kelsey participated in a reading of Lynn Marie Macy's new play Madame Campan's Academy with Theater 2020 in Brooklyn on April 18th. She was thrilled to be portraying a young Caroline Bonaparte (sister to Napoleon) in this historically-based piece.

Lastly, she spent the day yesterday as a background extra in a crowd scene for the upcoming film Money Monster.  She is thankful for the great professional experience!

Kelsey will be playing the role of Isabella Thorpe in an upcoming reading of Lynn Marie Macy's Northanger Abbey: a Romantic Gothic Comedy at the Treehouse Theater.  This adaptation of Jane Austen's novel includes scenes from Ann Radcliffe's The Mysteries of Udolpho.  The reading is part of Treehouse's "Playing with Canons" reading series.  Learn more here.

The reading will be on Wednesday, February 25th at 6:00pm at the Treehouse Theater at 154 W. 29th St. in Manhattan.  Admission is free with the purchase of a concession item.

In other news, Kelsey spent a day this week as a background extra on the set of a Turkish television pilot filming in New York.  How cool!

Kelsey is keeping busy this chilly January taking an on-camera commercial workshop with Ann Hamilton, learning some great marketable skills.

She is also about to start another scene study class at the Barrow Group, this time with Lee Brock.

Kelsey recently worked on three more short student films for various programs.

Meanwhile, she is keeping busy as the Humanities intern at Theatre for a New Audience.  TFANA just announced their 2014/2015 season, and you should check it out!  Kelsey has been doing a lot of research on these shows for the Humanities department, especially on Tamburlaine.

Kelsey officially graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with her Bachelor's degree on Friday!  (Summa Cum Laude!)

In other news, she was recently a background extra in an employee training video for a restaurant chain.  The overnight shoot in Midtown was exhausting, but a great learning experience.

Kelsey is excited to be entering the final stretch of her last semester of college!  She just returned to New York from a short trip back to Seattle during which she enjoyed seeing shows at several of her favorite Seattle-area theatre companies.

Kelsey spent her summer training in England with the British American Drama Academy's Midsummer in Oxford program held on the Magdalen College campus in Oxford (pictured above).  She studied Richard III in her Shakespeare class and the plays of Pinter and Beckett in her Modern class.

She is currently taking a scene study class at The Pearl Theatre in NYC, working on scenes from plays by Oscar Wilde and Richard Brinsley Sheridan.

Kelsey will graduate from Marymount Manhattan College this May.  Her final semester's courses include Acting for the Camera and Clown.
